Can I upload files I already have on Dropbox?

If you have a selection of artworks you'd like to upload to Marcel that are stored on Dropbox, navigate to web.marcelforart.com  from your desktop. Select the drive icon from the upload options, choose the relevant folders that have your images and press upload. you will see your artwork aggregate at the top of your portfolio and you can add metadata directly from the desktop pane by selecting individual artworks and typing in metadata.

Can I upload files I already have on Google Drive?

If you have a selection of artworks you'd like to upload to Marcel that are stored on Google Drive, navigate to web.marcelforart.com  from your desktop. Select the drive icon from the upload options, choose the relevant folders that have your images and press upload. you will see your artwork aggregate at the top of your portfolio and you can add metadata directly from the desktop pane by selecting individual artworks and typing in metadata.

Uploading from your desktop?

A second and potentially more convenient method for users who save information on there desktops is to use our desktop upload tool.


  1. Navigate to web.marcelforart.com on your desktop and type in your credentials.

  2. On the top right, select upload images.

  3. From here, click and drag image files up to 50 megabytes in tiff, tif, png, and jpg format.

  4. Once you press upload, watch your artworks get uploaded.

  5. In order to add metadata, simply click on one of your artwork records and you'll be taken to a page it allows you to update all your artwork  details and add additional imagery.

Uploading from your iPhone?

The quickest method is directly from your mobile device. You can use this for taking pictures right in your studio, documenting works in progress, or if you’ve got images already saved on your phone.


  1. Navigate to the artworks page from your navigation bar.

  2. Press the big orange plus button and select an image from your locally-stored photos. You may also take an image on the fly by pressing the photo button on the lower right (NOTE: If you have multiple images for a single artwork, you can upload those later on after the artwork record is created).

  3. Once you've selected your image press next. You will be prompted to crop the image we're rotate it in a manner of your choosing then press done.

  4. Finally, we will ask you  for some artwork details. The only required detail is the title, but you may add further detail Fields by selecting”Add More Fields”.  If there is even more information that you want to add you may return to the artwork record and add notes later on.

  5. Press save and watches your artwork record is generated.
