That’s why we’ve literally made it our responsibility to scour the web and find relevant opportunities around the world so you don’t have to. This week we’re featuring awards and residencies throughout Europe that have nearing deadlines.



Residence: Guldagergaard

Location: Denmark

Deadline: Ongoing

Who is it for: Ceramic artists will have access to a studio with complete facilities including gas, wood-fired,electric kilns and more. As an artist-in-Resident there is also an opportunity to exhibit in the gallery. Accommodation will be provided.

Residence: Chianti  

Location: Chianti, Italy

Deadline: Rolling year round

Who should apply: Artists skilled in painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, mixed media and installation art

What you should know: Artists can take part and learn from each other in the community and can choose to stay anywhere from 7-90 days. The studio is available 24 hours a day and is located across from a Church that can be used for special projects. At the end of the residence an exhibition can be created to show off the works created.

Cost: € 450, each additional week € 300

Location: Bulgaria

Deadline: Ongoing

What you should know: Any amateur or established artist can take part in the 1-6 month residency which includes workshops, language lessons, accomodation and a shared studio, and a collective exhibit at the end of the month.
